The Startling Future…
- Revelation is the “Revealing” of Jesus Christ… In power and great glory… Not as a baby in Bethlehem, but as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah… Every eye shall see Him! The Revealing/Revelation of Jesus!
- The future is no mystery to God; Foretold in His Word… Interesting verse is found in 2 Peter 3:8-9 8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance… Some say, creation week of six days then God rested will coincide with man’s history on the earth… God will deal with man 6000 years then the 1000yr millennial reign of Christ… Creation… 2000 yrs later the flood… 2000 yrs later Jesus came… 2000 yrs later brings us to today… Interesting to say the least!

- Rev 2-3 example of “near & far” prophecies concerning the Church… Jesus addresses 7 literal, existing churches of John’s day giving a brief description of each church… Prophetically I also believe each church represents a chronological timeframe, ie 1st church Ephesus represented 30-110AD… 6th church Philadelphia represents church history from 1750 to the rapture (us today)… then the 7th & last church Laodicea represents, final apostate liberal left behind church that began around 1910 – present.
